Do you treat more than just ash trees?
We treat a wide variety of trees for most every insect. We can treat for insects that affect the trunk, branches or leaves from insects.
We can also do systemic injections to protect trees from fireblight. We can help protect your fruit trees from insects using a product called Azasol. We have a trunk injected systemic fungicide for control of selected diseases in trees like leafspot. We can inject hardwood trees suffering from chlorosis.
What is a "Soil Drench"?
A soil drench is where we measure the tree to determine the amount of chemical needed. We then mix the chemical with water and pour it around the base of the tree and root zone where it is systemically taken in and transported throughout the tree.
How do you inject a tree?
We use the Arbor-Jet system to inject the tree. The tree is first measured to determine the max number of holes to drill into the tree and the amount of chemical needed. After drilling the holes, plugs are put into them and the Arbor-Jet system directly injects the formulation into the tree where it is taken up by the vascular system and distributed throughout the tree.
What is the cost for treatment?
Costs for injection or soil drench can be anywhere from $8-$15 per inch based on DBH, size of tree, and chemical used. Click here to see instructions on how to measure your tree, to estimate costs of treatment. And a tree injected with the chemical Tree-Age is good for 2 years!
